Gastrointestinal Balance^TM contains a combination of natural
herbal ingredients (Avie’s proprietary water-soluble
Ultramicronized Turmeric Curcumin and DGL licorice) that
can help relieve discomfort in the gastrointestinal tract.
Scientific findings suggest that the ingredients in Avie’s
Gastrointestinal Balance^TM can provide relief from occasional
heartburn and occasional indigestion. Turmeric Curcumin has
been used as a traditional medicine for thousands of years in
Asia. Licorice has been used medicinally since Roman times,
and may stimulate protective factors that help support
gastrointestinal health. Licorice may also stimulate cells that
produce mucin, which serves to help protect the cells of the
intestinal epithelial lining. The DGL (deglycyrrhizinated licorice)
used in Avie’s Gastrointestinal Balance^TM is a special form of
licorice that is more suitable for long term use.
