How has Avie impacted your life?
Avie came into my life at the perfect time. This year I’ve been focusing more and more on self-care. Using the Avie pain relief spray has become a staple in my daily self-care ritual. I come home everyday after work to first foam roll, then apply the Avie spray to my muscles. It is a nice relief after a long day. This is especially key after I teach multiple yoga classes a week.

What challenges/health issues had you been facing?
After 2 years of running long distance every single day, my body started to hurt. This is why I turned to hot yoga and other more low impact exercises. However sometimes yoga isn’t enough, and I still feel aches in my upper back, knees, and hips. The Avie spray is a great compliment to my yoga practice. Since using the spray I’ve noticed my recovery time between workouts is a lot shorter, and I have less aches on an everyday basis.

What changes have you noticed since starting to integrate Avie into your daily life?
When starting any new wellness routine, you become more mindful of what makes you feel good, and what doesn’t. I give myself more rest days and more recovery days than I ever have before. In the past, rest days simply helped me break even- meaning I wasn’t completely exhausted, but I didn’t necessarily feel good. Incorporating new self-care rituals like using the Avie spray makes me feel GOOD. I don’t wake up feeling achey, foggy, or irritable. Avie has helped me become more mindful of how my body is feeling and what it needs to feel good every single day. I’ve learned that feeling good “sometimes” is simply not an option to live a long healthy and happy life.

What does “Live Avie” mean to you?
To “Live Avie” means to “Be You”. I know it sounds cheesy, but it’s true. One of my favorite quotes from the fitness enthusiast, Tony Horton is “Do your best, and forget the rest”. Health, wellness, fitness is not about what every one else is doing, it is about what you are doing, and what you are feeling. If doing yoga, running, or spinning works for you, then it works. In an age of social media, we too easily get caught up in what every other fitness or health guru is doing. Avie encourages you to listen to your body, and to do what is right for you. No one person is the same, and no one exercise will work for everyone. Avie encourages me, you, and everyone to just be you.
